NZSki in collaboration with QAST developed a progressive and holistic approach to skiing terrain and alpine racing on the Queenstown mountains. Coaches work with children aged 6 to 12 years old developing essential skiing skills through a combination of activation techniques, terrain skiing, drills, set environments and lots of fun. The goal of the program is to gain confidence on skis starting a pathway to becoming a good and accomplished skier.

Overview

QAST – Queenstown Alpine Ski Team

This program is the pathway into the Queenstown Alpine Ski Team. Through fun, progressive skill development, we aim to create life long and passionate ski racers and skiers.

The program is suitable for:

• Age: 6-12 years
• Ability Level: Participants must be able to make controlled turns on intermediate terrain and ride Tbar

Details:

Lift pass sold seperately - we recomend a 3 Peak Season Pass for your child.
Lunch is supervised but not provided. Please ensure you provide plenty of food and drink for your child for the day.

Includes:

12 days of coaching, split into four blocks of three days over July
10 - 12 July
14 - 16 July
18 - 20 July
22 - 24 July
Programme hours: 8:30am - 2:30pm daily
Coached participation in Night n’ Day Junior Interfeld on 24th July, registration through www.snowsports.co.nz/register

Weekend Rippers 4-15yr

Select either a 6 Saturday or 6 Sunday option. The programme caters for all abilities, focusing on safety, fast progression and fun. Kids will be allocated to a group based on their ability and will stay together over the duration of the programme. The focus is on technique, confidence, terrain and speed with same coach over the six consecutive weeks.
