Starting on Duncan’s Dance the event is a frenetic mix of skiing, scrambling, and sliding, and the winner is the first to reach the top of the Volkl jump and grab the cash, literally, as they cross the finish line. To the winners go all the spoils, a total of $5000 in cash generously sponsored by Torpedo 7. Event divisions are by gender.

Originally held as part of Queenstown’s famous Winter Festival, the Dash for Cash makes a comeback for Coronet Peak’s 75^th birthday celebrations. Held in memory of perpetual winner and local legend Bruce Grant, proceeds from the Dash for Cash will go to the Bruce Grant Youth Trust in support of young achievers in the Wakatipu.
