Rookie Instructor Training Programme

A 10-day performance ski or snowboard instructor training programme delivered by highly qualified, passionate trainers and examiners and includes on snow and indoor tech sessions.

For those who successfully complete the 10-day programme this provides a pathway towards an entry level instructor in the Queenstown Snowsports team based at Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. 

NZSki Rookie Instructor Training is the highest standard of ski and snowboard instructor training in New Zealand, delivered by the very best of NZSIA and SBINZ’s trainers/examiners.

Ability Level:

• Must be able to ski or ride with confidence, control and a high level of skill on all red and black terrain.

Times and Dates:

• 9am – 3:30pm daily.
• Training is in two, five-day blocks starting June 17-21 and June 24-28.
• Trainees will be invited to an interview on completion of the 10 day programme, those who are successful may start onboarding with NZSki on June 30.

Includes:

• 10 days of training at either Coronet Peak or The Remarkables, delivered by our world-class trainers/examiners.
• 3 Peak Season Pass which can be kept if you purchase the Programme by the 31st May 2024. If for any reason you are not accepted into the Snowsports School you will be able to retain your 3 Peak Season Pass.
